Abstract

This study is to analyze the importance and satisfaction of pedestrians for physical elements of Slow Street for Gwangbok-ro Model Street and Seomyeon Young Street where the Slow Street design technique was introduced in Busan, the second largest city in Korea. Through IPA analysis, we drew out the problems and supplements for the target area and based on the analysis result, we suggested the physical and political improvement plan that a street shape, installation street furniture, expansion of the width of sidewalk and so on are very important factor for pedestrians. We think this study can be used in the design of Slow Street of the commercial street for the pedestrian-centered street environment.
