Abstract

As digital transformation (DX) develops, various security threats occur, mainly in the manufacturing industry. This study considers the characteristics of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies in the DX environment. Moreover, the security threats to small and medium-sized manufacturing companies are derived, security areas are established from technical and management perspectives, and minimal guidelines for each area are proposed. Based on these results, small and medium-sized manufacturing companies can establish security policies that are tailored to the size of the company, assets, importance of work, and business areas that require digital transformation.
