Abstract
This paper shows that the potential capacity of greening at a housing site should be closely related to a series of indicators of size of a site, area of vacant space and width of open space connected to a road and the rate of vacant area against total area of a site. The possibility of prediction of the potentiality was well considered and analyzed, and an indicator of greening potentiality was shown to be effective to evaluate the potentiality of a residential block. Surveys were done on lots of 25 blocks within the urbanized area of Tokyo and its environs.
