Abstract

The subject of this study covered students in Seoul. For data analysis, chi-square test was conducted. Based on the results, mothers of students of humanities studies as housewives took up the largest portion while those of students from alternative high schools took up the highest rate in the area of sales and services. Second, the awareness of filial duty was higher with students from humanities studies-based schools than those from alternative high schools while the degree of juvenile delinquency of students from alternative high schools was higher than that of students from humanities-based high schools. The implication of this study that more recognition of filial duty among high school students related to lower level of juvenile delinquency is expected to provide a useful basic data.
