Abstract

Paradigm has been shifted from dominant social paradigm (DSP), which emphasizes on growth and development, to new environmental paradigm (NEP), which focuses on both rationality of use and obligation of preservation. Because tourism is now the world’s largest industry, the environment is taking center stage in tourism development. The purpose of the study is to provide a direction for developing effective educational programs of green tourism for the residents of farming communities. The educational programs are targeting two groups: the leaders of the communities and the residents of the communities. Developing community specific on-line contents regarding green tourism of the region and promoting them are another purpose of the research. A confirmatory factor analysis was employed to examine support for the literature review on green tourism and conducted reliability analysis of 6 factors of green tourism activities.
