Abstract

A preliminary study on the composting of sea-weeds both under pit and heap systems with two treatments, namely, (i) washing the sea-weeds with fresh water, and (ii) sea-weeds not being washed in fresh water, was carried out at the Coconut Research Station, Pamban, to find out the manurial status of sea-weed compost and the results of the findings are discussed in this paper.
