Abstract

This paper analyzes the characteristics of the atmospheric boundary layer based on data from vertical sounding of the atmosphere using SODAR data. The variation of the mean wind speed and wind shear velocity in the atmospheric boundary layer were analyzed using data collected during nowcasting warnings of convective storms, but also 12 hours before and after the warnings, from 2018 to 2021. Thus, the structure and evolution of the atmospheric boundary layer following thunderstorms were observed. The resulting data are important in understanding the processes that take place in the atmospheric boundary layer during extreme weather events.
