Abstract
This paper deals with the design and implementation to assess a platform for grid connection of distributed generation using Python. Python plays a key factor in the automatic simulation and interface of power systems analysis application. In this respect, the critical function of the python is to provide the various outputs of commercial program such as PSS/E with the user-defined information of other platforms. In this paper, a platform, which includes the distributed generation modeling, power flow analysis, contingency analysis, short circuit analysis, and dynamic simulation, is proposed to analyze and assess the grid connection of the distributed generation in power system network analysis. The proposed methodology is examined by the Korean power systems.
