Abstract
Acute appendicitis is a surgical emergency and requires surgical intervention. This is a study among 30 patients in tertiary care centre in south india to compare the efcacy of early oral feeding compared to traditional late oral feeding. Early oral feeding was found to be superior in all aspects over tradional oral feeding. Hence this can be promoted in all patients undergoing appendicectomy .
