Abstract

As current flows on conductor, an electromagnetic field is produced and if the conductor passes through the place with derivatives, electromotive force about derivatives is induced due to mutual inductance. The currents flowing through a conductor are the low frequency like energy transmission, communication by magnetic coupling, a carrier wave with the high frequency like the lines, a radio wave and so on. Parasite induction drops the efficiency of energy transmission and provokes unintended current flows. Track circuits are used to detect trains and transmit information needed for train running, and sometimes installed on slab tracks in which structured reinforcing bar are adapted. The track circuits are tied with the reinforcing bar through magnetic field produced from the track circuits. The reinforcing bars affect the current flow of the track circuits. In this paper, we studied the interaction between the track circuits and the slab track. We proposed a model for a rail and reinforcing bars in the slab tracks, analyzed the effect of reinforcing bar structure and frequency
