Abstract

This paper studies portfolio selection in the securities market by using cluster analysis and gray correlation analysis and combines correlation-based clustering with stock selection by analyzing existing stock selection strategies. An improved stock selection strategy is derived by filtering out the indicators that best represent the stock trend for the traditional technical indicator stock selection method. Experiments are also designed to verify that the proposed stock selection strategy is profitable and can be used in the study of stock markets.
