Abstract
The objective of this paper is to examine problems in establishing features of Chinese prepositional constructions in order to produce grammar guideline for Chinese prepositional constructions.<BR> Even though there has been great amount of researches in Chinese education field, It seemed not boomed to study about producing guideline for a specific grammar category. For this necessity, this paper attempts to study how to produce guideline for a specific grammar category by focusing on Chinese prepositional constructions, and as the first step of the study, it will be discussed some problems in establishing linguistic status of Chinese prepositional constructions.<BR> This paper is formed by the following discussions: (1) to emphasize the necessity of guideline for Chinese grammar education for Korean learners, and to illustrate the basic idea of that; (2) to compare the explanations contained in Chinese grammar materials and to examine the problems in them; (3) to illustrate the difference between causative/passive markers, such as 'rang(讓)', 'jiao(叫)', 'bei(被)', and prepositions by analyzing their semantic structures; (4) to discuss the matter of separating some members, such as 'lian(連)', 'zicong(自從)', 'weile(爲了)', 'weizhe(爲着)', 'you yu(由于)', 'y?nwei(因爲)' from prepositional category by examining the phenomenon that they function as adverbs or conjunctions more frequently; (5) to discuss about including 'b?ng(?)' in Chinese prepositional category as a new member.<BR>
