Abstract

AbstractBy utilizing the observational data of land‐surface process obtained during the period from Aug, 2000 to Sep, 2001 from the “Experiment on Land‐Atmosphere Interaction over Arid Region in Northwestern China”, we analyze the relationship between surface albedo over the Gobi in the Dunhuang region and solar altitude angles and soil moisture as well as the relationship between soil heat conductivity and soil moisture. Preliminarily we propose a multiple factorial parameterization equation of surface albedo and soil thermal conductivity based on long‐term experiments. By comparison with observed values, it is found that the parameterization equation fitted by using observational data can reflect the dynamic changes induced by some climatic factors such as precipitation well.
