Abstract

AbstractBased on the theory of electromagnetics, the forward computing formulae and algorithm are derived for airborne time‐domain electromagnetic methods (ATEM) with dipole‐dipole array under the condition of stratified earth. The computer program for computing the ATEM response is worked out and the forward computing is completed for some typical geoelectrical sections. The forward computing results provide scientific basis for analyzing the detecting capability and applied conditions of the ATEM and for designing the helicopter ATEM system.
