Abstract

In concrete world cement is the main ingredient. The manufacture of cement leads many issues in the environmental safety. So we are in need of replacement against cement as a binder in concrete. There are many alternatives availability for the replacement of cement. Here in our study we use eggshell powder, rice husk ash and sawdust ash as partial replacement of OPC. The mix designated for the study is M25 grade. The replaced eggshell powder & rice husk ash each as 10, 20 and 30 percentage respectively with the weight of cement. Sawdust added as a admixture to improve the properties of concrete. The saw dust added upto 2.5% of binder as additive. The investigation of compressive strength, flexural strength and split tensile strength results at 7 & 28 days were obtained. The research found, the use of eggshell, rice husk ash and sawdust ash improves the structural properties of concrete compared to the conventional concrete.
