Abstract

Sulfur hexafluoride is the most commonly used insulation gas in electrical systems. Gas insulated systems are widely used in the electric power industry for transmission and distribution of electrical energy. Major companies of the electric power industry for transmission and distribution of electrical energy are developing new products on applied for Ultra High Voltage, compact, cost-effective, Large-capacity, High-reliability. In addition, studies using environmentally friendly products instead of SF6 gas insulated or are looking for ways to reduce the use of SF6 gas, but the most important part of the product is applied to the compact insulation material. It needs to be addressed primarily to the downsizing goals of GIS[1] The compact size does not meet the insulation when the insulating performance to basically have a GIS. Also if there is a particle inside has a significant effect on insulating properties This paper presents a study on Improvement of Spacer's Insulation performance for compact of High voltage power apparatus. This study is the purpose of performance enhancement through the change of the insulating material. After evaluating the electrical and mechanical performance to determine the applicability of the product.
