A Study on Expression of Line Drawing using Processing: Based on Artwork “Line”

Abstract

Images have never changed as rapidly as in recent years, and people have never been exposed to such different types of images as in the present days, and there is no way to make images fundamentally happen like today. As the most advanced type of graphic and artistic expression of an image, new media art is very different from traditional art forms in terms of creative techniques, information construction, and communication environment. This paper considers line drawing, one of the earliest and most concise forms of painting, as an example. The interactive programming software “processing” is used to process and add voice interaction, so that the audience can participate in the production of the artwork. This paper presents research on the on the application of traditional artistic expressions in the context of digital media.
