Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to explore a new concept of experimental teaching model of three-dimensional (3D) animation. In many scientific experiments teaching process (such as physics, chemistry, biology, etc.), the generic approach are the first results obtained by experimental demonstration, then the principle of scientific theories which explain to students. In the experimental demonstration process, we do not have to stick to some laboratory equipment or some experimental space, different students ultimately understand the same scientific principles. Likewise, if the experiment teaching of 3D animation is not necessarily confined to a 3D animation software, experimental teaching is mainly to guide students thinking exercise in animation creation. That is the aim of experimental teaching of 3D animation is to enable students to understand the Creative Thinking is the core of curriculum in the experimental teaching of 3D animation. Students can use different 3D animation software or use the same software in different functions, in order to achieve the minds of creative thinking, rather than rigidly adhere to learn some 3D animation software or some software features. This paper summarized the experimental teaching process of 3D animation. Then, the construction and motion of animated character in animation process are discussed. Finally, a new concept of experimental teaching model of 3D animated is proposed.
