Abstract

Providing green logistics services became a major marketing tool for logistics service providers (LSPs) to become recognised members of global and sustainable supply chains. In the Middle East and specifically in Egypt, the adoption of green practices is still in its infancy. And according to previous research such as in Elbarky and Elzarka (2015) and Elnakib and Elzarka (2014), organisation culture and employees' engagement are essential for the adoption of new green supply chain practices. Therefore, this research would investigate the role of employees' engagement in logistics service providers in Egypt towards adopting green logistics practices. This research is conducted through an online survey that targets all the registered logistics service companies in Egypt. The contribution of this research is presented in examining the interactions between the employees' engagement in LSPs in Egypt and the adoption of green logistics practices.
