Abstract
Coarse granular materials like gravel and rubble are used as major fill materials for embankment structures including railroad, road and dam. Therefore, it is essential to accurately evaluate the properties of these materials for reasonable design and construction. This study analyzes the effect of adjustment to Grain Size Distribution (GSD), load frequency, maximum grain size, and loading mode on the dynamic property through cyclic triaxial test. The major object of this study was assessment for parallel grading method. It might underestimate minutely compared to the result of the specimen with original grain size. But the difference was not that significant.
