A Study on Childcare Practice State and Satisfaction Experienced by Pre-service Early Childhood Teachers

Abstract

본 연구는 예비영유아교사를 대상으로 주 기간 동안 경험한 보육실습 실태와 만족도를 살펴보고자 하였다 이를 위해 경기도 및 충청도에 위치한 년제 대학교에 재학 중인 명의 예비영유아교사들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다 수집된 자료는 빈도분석 및 기술통계치로 결과를 도출하였다 그결과 첫째 보육실습 형태에서는 국공립 어린이집에서 실습을 하고 학급을 배정받으며 영아반보다 유아반에서 실습한 예비영유아교사들이 더 많은 것으로 나타났다 둘째 보육실습 내용에 대해 예비영유아 교사들은 주차에 교직원 소개 및 인사를 시작으로 주차에는 부분수업과 연계수업을 실시하였고 주차에는 종일 반일 수업을 실시하였다고 응답하였다 셋째 보육실습 만족도에서는 보육실습 환경에 대해 만족한다는 예비영유아교사들의 응답이 가장 높게 나타났다 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 앞으로 보육실습시 고려되어야 할 사항들에 대해 논의하였다This study aimed to look into actual state and satisfaction toward childcare practice experienced by pre-service early childhood teachers over the period of six weeks. For this aim, questionnaire surveys were conducted targeting 186 pre-service early childhood teachers who are attending either a college or a university located in Gyeonggi Province or Chungcheong Province. Results of collected data were drawn based on frequency analysis and descriptive statistics. As a result, first, there were higher number of pre-service early childhood teachers who did practice at state-funded daycare center, assigned to be in 1st level class, and participated in practice at young children classes. Second, with regard to childcare practice contents, pre-service early childhood teachers replied that they started from introduction to faculty and greetings, carried out partial classes and related classes from the third week to the fifth week, and held all-day classes in the sixth week. Third, when it came to childcare practice satisfaction, the highest rate of pre-service early childhood teachers responded that they were satisfied with childcare practice environment. This study discussed the items to be considered in future childcare practices based on aforementioned results.
