Abstract

The purpose of this study is to give fundamental date to train professional teacher for the basic architectural education. For this study on the basic architectural education, the domestic literature review is conducted for action plan of basic architectural education. Foreign case studies, educational programs and textbook content development for basic architectural education were analyzed. In addition, this study through literature review, interviews and observation for training professional teacher were conducted. As a result, first, basic architectural teacher has their attitude for basic architectural education rather than technical knowledge of architecture. In addition, the study for basic architectural education is conducted. Second, teaching learning program and teaching learning methods have to be modified to fit the teachers. Third, the basic architectural teacher should have not only architecture-related knowledge but also attitude and qualification as an educator. Finally, for training good architectural teacher, modification and supplementation of architectural education program and future study should be required.
