Abstract

The Saeddeul-maeul Project is a policy project that resolves the congestion of the existing “residential environment improvement project”, which was a project to refurbish old residential areas, and provides financial support to poor residential areas alienated from the “urban regeneration New Deal project”. This study conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the new village project based on the results of a survey of 30 urban districts(public official, general coordinator, activist, and resident) that participated in the project among the first Saeddeul-maeul project zones in 2015. The Saeddeul-maeul project is evaluated as a successful project that achieved the desired results in the policy goal of “modifying residential vulnerable areas”. However, it is necessary to supplement the system in the future as it has commonly suggested that the house repair project is a unit project that is difficult to proceed. It is necessary to flexibly adjust the indicators set by the application and selection criteria in accordance with the changed circumstances so that business districts can be selected according to the reality. In addition, since the four-year project period is different from the site, extending the project period or promoting a more effective project is needed.
