Abstract

Social Networking Sites as the name itself suggests, is a basic platform for connecting people with different culture, societies and different types of people living all over the world. Now a day social networking sites become an indispensable part of college students’ life and influence their academic achievement. The present study tries to find out the relationship between SNS addictive behavior and academic achievement of under graduate students. The objective of the study is to find out the relationship of SNS addictive behavior with academic achievement for girls and SNS addictive behavior with academic achievement for boys. For this study investigator has taken survey method with correlation design and selected 100 students, 47 girls and 53 boys. For further investigation researcher constructed self-made tool SNS addictive behavior in 5 point rating scale and administer on students. To analyzed data by using Mean, SD and Coefficient of Correlation. The result of study shows that there is significant negative correlation between SNS addictive behavior and academic achievement for girls and boys.
