Abstract

Because the government decreases public investments, it becomes difficult for construction companies to manage their business. Under such situation, we need to know what kind of problem the construction companies have and also what kind of the human resources they need.In this paper, we took the above-mentioned, for the small and medium size construction companies which could support construction industry of local district, implemented the questionnaire about the problem on their management and consciousness investigation about the human resources that are required for their operations. As a result of having analyzed these, for the problem that companies are facing “to improve the cost control”, “capacity building for young staff” and “to increase the business amount” became higher. In addition, “to have an ability of using PC” and “a cost control mind” became high-ranking other than “to keep a challenging mind” and “a sense of responsibility” to find to a person of university graduate. On the other hand, as a result of the quantification theory II about the ability/the qualification which companies require a person of university graduate to have, “knowledge of the current events” and “an engineer ethic” are reacted strong.
