Abstract

With the rapid development of computer technology, network technology and the implementation of the "National Primary and secondary Schools' fundamental IT Construction Project" in China, Web-based teaching and research activities exchanges the traditional face-to-face teaching and research way into a blended way with online research activities. This paper analyses the basic system components and the features of the Web-based teaching and research activities, and concludes four kinds of typical models of activities based on current successful cases in China. Web-based teaching and research activities have become a promotional way to cover the gaps in the development level in teaching and research between the developed and underdeveloped areas.
