Abstract
AbstractWith the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port, a large number of talented people who are proficient in English will be demanded. In Hainan Province, there are many vocational colleges that play a very important role in providing talent for future FTP construction. To improve these students’ English ability, vocabulary learning is the key factor. English vocabulary learning involves many factors, and emotion is just one of them. When learning English vocabulary, students who have a positive attitude will achieve more than students who are negative. Anxiety, as a negative physiological factor, has a great impact on vocational students’ English vocabulary learning. In this study, a questionnaire was used to test the anxiety state of vocational college students’ English vocabulary learning, and SPSS 22.0 was used to analyze the collected data based on the questionnaire. From this study, vocational college students’ vocabulary learning anxiety state can be known, and some useful suggestions are given to relieve the anxiety of students’ vocabulary learning based on the results of the survey.KeywordsVocational college studentsVocabulary learning anxietyAlleviation
