Abstract

Procedures have been proposed to estimate the recovery of gold from a slag melt into the bottom phase without using a lead collector and the size of particles settling naturally to the bottom phase. It is shown that the processes of coalescence of gold particles and their settling to the bottom phase make a substantial contribution to the overall index of gold recovery in fire assay.
