Abstract
In this paper, iron loss characteristics of amorphous magnetic material under distorted waveforms have been described. The loss characteristics of amorphous magnetic materials have been compared with grain-oriented silicon steel sheet. The measurement of the iron loss has been carried out with SST. In the result, it is found that amorphous magnetic materials have better characteristics under the distorted waveforms than grain-oriented silicon steel sheet.
