Abstract

From a large volume of literature we have collected a total of 1642 datapoints of effective observation of quasar 3C 345 in the B band, and constructed its historical light curve from 1896 to 1993. We used Jurkevich's method to analyze its light variation and found its long-term period of variation to be 10.1 ± 0.8 yr (or 21.8 ± 1.5 yr), and we expect next burst in 2002 January.
