Abstract
The Golgi substance of hepatic cells and cells of the intestinal epithelium of the mouse has been studied with the electron microscope. Both hepatic cells and intestinal epithelial cells were fixed by perfusion with modified Champy's fluid followed by treatment with osmic acid. Myelin figures were not found to develop in this material during fixation; nevertheless, the classical picture of the Golgi substance was revealed after treatment with osmic acid.
