After the study was begun, its scope was influenced very materially by the conclusions of Medlar and his co-workers at the University of Wisconsin, regarding the different parts played by the monocyte, the neutrophile and the lymphocyte in the histopathological reaction in tuberculosis.Sabin and her associates, using supravital staining methods, traced the monocyte from its origin in the reticular cells of the spleen and of the bone-marrow to its consummation in the typical...
