Abstract
The result of a study of some parameters affecting the optimum design of composite bridge deck of steel girder and concrete slab is presented. The design is carried out with the aid of a computer program developed to take into account the recommendations of the British Codes for Composite Construction (CP 117: 1967, Part 2) and for Design of Steel Girder Bridges (BS 153: 1966, Parts 3 and 4).
