Abstract
Some direct measurements of the kinetics of vacancy removal in neutron irradiated tungsten are presented. These measurements show that vacancies are mobile in stage IV recovery of this material. A comparison of this experiment with the self diffusion measurements of Andelin, Knight and Kahn and the quenching measurements of Schultz, shows that the activation energy for self diffusion is consistent with a vacancy mechanism.
