Abstract

3H-Labeled Pluronic F-68 was given intravenously to dogs. The 3H-labeled Pluronic F-68 was measured in whole blood, plasma, plasma protein-free filtrate, washed and unwashed red blood cells, urine, and lymph during the 24-hr administration and in various organs at the end of 24 hr. Approximately 75% of the detergent is transported in the plasma as free Pluronic F-68, and 25% appears to be attached to albumin. At the end of 24 hr, approximately 40% of the initial dose was excreted in the urine, and 3H-labeled Pluronic was found in all organs.
