Abstract
The (π+, K+) reaction was used to study lambda hypernuclear states inΛ9Be,Λ12C,Λ13C,Λ16O,Λ28Si,Λ40Ca,Λ51V andΛ89Y. The results show that the (π+, K+) reaction is ideally suited for populating lambda single-particle states in heavy nuclei.
