Abstract

In tactical ad hoc network (TA), most of the existing group mobility models exhibit the drawback in controlling dynamic topology of mobile nodes (MNs) by adjusting parameter. We propose a group mobility model based on normal cloud model to overcome this drawback. In this model, forward normalized cloud is used to convert qualitative concept into nodal position sets of numerical representation. And backward normalized cloud is used to convert nodal position sets into node distribution. Moreover, by adjusting entropy and hyper entropy of normal cloud model, controlling coverage area and dispersion degree of MNs are respectively obtained. Additionally, we conduct a comparative performance of routing protocol using Reference Point Group Mobility (RPGM) model as well as Gibbs sampler based simulated annealing Group Mobility (GGM) model. As expected, the results show that different group mobility models have different impact on the performance evaluation of ad hoc network protocol.
