Abstract

The microstructure, microhardness, tensile strength, fatigue resistance, and fracture surfaces of welded joints of steel AISI4130 (30KhMF) are studied after annealing and after quenching and tempering. Resistance upset welding is used to create the welds. The fractograms of the welded joints after tensile and fatigue tests exhibit fracture over the middle of the surface of the weld.
