Abstract

A study of climate change impacts on hydrologic regime of the Vogršček accumulation (SW Slovenia)

Highlights

  • Climate change impacts on hydrologic regime of the Vogr{~ek accumulation (Vipava valley) were studied for a decade period 1995-2004

  • The results indicated that this could result from a decrease of effective precipitation amounts, which recharge the accumulation, from changes of their distribution, as well as from an increased frequency of extreme dry periods and extreme precipitation events during the second decade half

  • The influences of a) changes of precipitation amounts, b) changes of precipitation distribution, c) dry periods, and d) extreme precipitation events on hydrologic regime of the Vogr{~ek accumulation were investigated, which was connected with e) a study of quantity and quality condition of surface and underground water resources and f) protection against the harmful water effects
