Abstract
The feasibility of determining protein molecular weights in high concentrations of guanidine hydrochloride by ultracentrifugation has been investigated. Ribonuclease was used as a nondissociating protein, and several modifications of the sedimentation equilibrium method were employed. An investigation of urease by these methods produced evidence for a structural subunit of 83300 molecular weight.
