After spending several years in the United States doing research and some teaching, he returned to China and taught briefly at his Alma Mater. He then settled down in Hong Kong where he occupied the Chair of Mathematics at the University of Hong Kong for 28 years and was Head of the Department of Mathematics most of that time, also serving on two separate occasions as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Pro-Vice-Chancellor. He is now retired. His research interest is in geometry. He has published many papers on differential geometry and a book on linear geometry in Euclidean 4-space. He is also the Founding President of the Southeast Asian Mathematical Society and Honorary President of the recently formed Hong Kong Mathematical Society.Kai-Man TsangKai-Man Tsang graduated from the University of Hong Kong and was teaching assistant in the Department of Mathematics for two years. He is now a Ph.D. student at Princeton University. He has published three papers on analytic number theory.
