Abstract
I am writing this “President’s Message” column as my last one in this honorable position for the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS). My term unfortunately coincided with one of the biggest challenges of our times, both for our members and for IEEE and its Societies and Councils: the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, I could not get in touch with our members as much as I was hoping for, especially in person during our global events. As we near the end of 2021, I hope we will all have a healthier and safer world in 2022, in particular without any pandemic.
