Abstract
Edge-sharing square planar dipalladium(II) complexes with a formula [Pd2(μ-RPCH2CH2PR)(DPPE)2]Cl2 [DPPE = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphono)ethane, R = Me (3a), Ph (3b)] were prepared, and their X-ray crystal structures were determined, in which the two Pd(II) atoms were bridged with the linked-bisphosphido group to form a rare butterfly structure.
