JASPER The author received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the College of the City of New York in 1941. He joined the Scientific section of the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in 1941 and worked there until transferred to the David Taylor Model Basin in 1946 where he has primarily been concerned with applying vibration theory and experimental methods to the study of ship structures. He studied, since 1941 at the University of Washington, the George Washington University, the Graduate School of the Bureau of Standards and the University of Maryland from which he received the Master of Science degree in 1950.Search for more papers by this author NORMAN H.
