Abstract

This paper examines new service development research from the perspective of its relationship to allied field on service management and new product development (NPD) and takes Stage-Gate as base. This study designs a model of New Service Development (NSD) for China's financial industry including nine stages and five gates. The model will can help financial institution in China better complete new service development with shorter time, easy executive and more extension opportunities.
