Abstract
Epidemic spreading and information diffusion are two fundamental types of dynamical processes on complex networks. We present the analysis of the interrelation between two processes: one is the spreading of epidemics, the other is the information diffusion which conclude individual sensitivity in multiplex networks. Then we propose a UADU-SIS model of multiplex networks which adopt information diffusion model-UADU and epidemic spreading model-SIS to describe upper and lower layer networks respectively. By using the continuous time Markov process, the analysis reveals the situation of the incidence of the epidemics and allows to capture the evolution of the epidemic threshold. The threshold depends on the topological structure of the multiplex and the interrelation with the awareness process. The research shows that the threshold of Epidemic spreading is not only related to the structure of social network, but also associated with the individual sensitivity and the information diffusion in the communication network.
