Abstract

Volume 16, no. 10, p. 5524: The images in Fig. 10 were inadvertently scrambled in an image-processing program and do not reflect the actual data. Quantitative data obtained from the invasion experiments confirm the conclusions drawn in the paper. The histograms in the revised Fig. 10 show the number of cells that migrated through an 8-μm-pore-size Millipore filter coated with an artificial basement membrane made of polymerized collagen IV, laminin, and glycosaminoglycans (Matrigel). Values represent averages of triplicate determinations of the absorbance of 595 nm of cells stained with crystal violet and solubilized. MOCK indicates mock-transfected cells. The cells expressing recombinant full-size Ron required stimulation by macrophagestimulating protein (MSP) to cross the Matrigel barrier. Cells expressing recombinant Δ-Ron or the C914-A Ron displayed the invasive phenotype constitutively. We apologize for any confusion that this may have caused.
