Abstract

A spectroscopic refractometer is intended for measuring the index of refraction nλ of liquid and solid media at any wavelength λ in a 375–1150 nm wavelength range with an accuracy of ±5 × 10−5. It can be used, in particular, for determining nλ of monomers, compositions, and polymers, which are used for creating integrated-optical waveguides operating in a telecommunication spectrum region near 850 nm.
