Abstract
Abstract The spectrophotometric method of analysis for residual styrene monomer in SBR latex has several advantages. No standardization of reagents is required. The method is rapid, accurate, and precise. The direct ultraviolet absorption method is applicable only in absence of interferences. The alternate distillation-ultraviolet method is applicable even in the presence of most interferences.
