Abstract
A spectral-luminescence study of a number of 2-amino-1,3-thiazoles containing a diterpene fragment has been carried out. The test compounds were prepared based on the chemical conversion of maleopimaric acid; they exhibit a wide range of biological activities: antitumor, antimicrobial, and antioxidant ones. Their UV spectral and fluorescence characteristics and the quantum yields of luminescence in acetonitrile solutions have been determined. The rule of mirror symmetry in the absorption and fluorescence spectra of the obtained compounds has been found to be violated.
